Who can participate in Annandale Youth Lacrosse Club?
The boundaries align with the following public high schools based on residency not attendance:
What are the ages/grades of the players?
For boys, players must be 14 & under thru the entire school year ending 8/31/2023. Girls must be in grades K thru 8. Players who are on a Varsity/JV high school team are ineligible to play.
How are the teams determined?
Teams are based on age for boys and grade for girls. When we have enough players to form multiple teams, we will hold preseason tryouts and place teams in the A, B, or C divisions.

Girls (Grade) |
14U: 14 and under thru 8/31/2023 |

Annandale Youth Lacrosse may combine players in a division with those from neighboring NVYLL clubs so that we have enough players to form A, B and C teams to provide an appropriately competitive team for your child. The boys plan to join forces with Falls Church this spring. We have a target number of teams at each age level and will waitlist players with the hope of forming an additional team when possible. Please register early to reserve your spot.
When does the season start and finish?
Age-based clinics will begin late January. Practice and assessments will start in late February for boys 10U and up and girls 3/4 and up, initially on the weekends. Starting in March, teams will practice twice a week and play a game/scrimmage on the weekend. Typically, boys play games on Saturday and girls play on Sunday afternoon. The first league games are the weekend of March 26/27. We will not have games April 16/17 or Memorial Day Weekend (May 28/29). Playoffs are June 4/5 and June 11/12.
If we enter a boys or girls team into the "A" Division there is a separate schedule that will be communicated with families.
8U boys and K-2 girls will be entered into the McLean developmental league.
Can I rent equipment?
We ask families purchase equipment for your child. Starter sets are available for reasonable cost at Lacrosse Unlimited near Tysons Corner.
What are the costs?
The early registration fee is $225 for first child, and $200 for siblings. 8U boys and K-2 girls are $175. After 1/31/23, fees increase by $25. Partial/full scholarships are available for families who need assistance with registration fees. If interested, please contact the appropriate commissioner via emails noted below.
What is included in my registration?
Each player will receive a uniform jersey, uniform shorts, & "shooter" shirt. Funds are also dedicated toward field permits, league fees, and overall team support (balls, goals, etc.).
Refunds
If a player withdraws after registering, the parent may request a refund by sending an email to the appropriate commissioner no later than March 15th, 2023. No refunds after this date unless an injury with written Doctor's note. Refunds will only be processed via credit card minus an administration fee. If the season is cancelled while in progress, we will offer pro-rata refunds or credits.
